Desert survival

Desert survival

The well across the country provide water and directions for Bedouin across the desert in the UAE. The wells were like petrol stations for them. Also, they developed their skill to know where to find the water. Sometimes they dug a well and they don’t find any water, but when they dig further away the find some. Although some wells is now abandoned, people use the names to give directions. Moreover, camels and goats milk could replace water. Or they also can drink the water that is inside the camel stomach after they killed it. So people have to be prepared for this climate or they will suffer dehydration. The Bedu could go longing without water than normal people can.

Desert survival: finding water

The Bedouin in the UAE struggled to keep alive in the desert in the past. The wells were the source of water and inspire Bedouin directions in the desert. Bedu knows the places of wells and how to dig and it's about 3-10 meters. Names of wells related to who dug it. Bedu might kill a camel to get the water that camel stores if they had no water. Camels also gave milk which could replace the water and their skin could also be used to store water. Bedu got used to the difficult life in the desert, so can live without water for longer.

Shisha smoking as bad for health as cigarettes -  Gulf News, 1 September 2012

Shisha, or water-pipe smoking is as harmful in causing lung diseases as cigarette smoking researchers in Iran have found. They compared different types of smokers versus non-smokers.
Shisha smoking is often considered to be less harmful than cigarette smoking, but has been proven to be similar in effects to deep-inhalation smokers.
Shisha smoke has high concentrations of dangerous chemicals, cancer causing toxins and nicotine which is not filtered out by the water as previously thought.
